Kat Zuis is an interdisciplinary artist based from Boston, MA who creates work reflecting on the human experience and human condition. Through both her photographic and fine art practices, she gravitates heavily towards depictions of the humanistic shape and form — often combining her renderings with elements of nature and identity. Her work aims to present the highs and lows of the human experience, taking into consideration its intersectionalities and elevating voices that are frequently overlooked. With a passion for the practice and study of photography, Kat loves that the studio is a space where she can experiment with light to enhance a photograph’s composition, essence, and meaning. In her continued research, project ideation, and collaboration, she aims to further investigate how photography in conjunction with fine art can impact innovation in today’s changing world.
Kat is currently studying photography and fine arts at Columbia College Chicago in Chicago, IL.
